22LCD what res/fov to use???

Resolution and refresh rate options given me by this monitor using the dvi cable:

1680x1050@60hz
1440x900@60hz
1440x1050@60hz
1280x1024@60 or 75hz
1280x960@60 or 75hz
1280x800@60hz
1152x864@60hz
1024x768@60,70 or 75hz
800x600@56,60,72 or 75hz

I can't stop thinking that i miss my old crt@120hz, anyway what is best resolution and fov when having 22-inch lcd like the Iiyama E2201W?

With my old crt(r.i.p) i was used to 1024x768@120hz-125fps-fov 100, with this new 22-inch i really don't know what to use...because it all feels so strange and my aim/tracking is fucked atm :/

When i was searching for new monitor i couldn't find any good crt's in shops.

So i'm stuck with this 22-inch lcd and need to find a res/fov/fps that is ok to use, so far it feels like i'v tried everything and still can't make up my mind on what res etc.. to use :/

for Q3 based games:
r_mode -1
r_customaspect 1
r_customheight 1050
r_customwidth 1680

Play with 125fps for non-jerky fps

Thats what i use on my 20 inch

i tried using 1680x1050 in ET but all that happened was my fps going down to 30 or something
with r_mode 6 i get 125 fps ;<

125 stable here, but some gfx cards do have problems with higher resolutions

you could also try resolution of 840x 525 witch is exactly half of the tft's native res. if the monitor can handle it ofc

or something like 1280x1024 and set your monitor to use black borders instaed of stretching it. its just if you use r_mode 6 and stretch it over a widescreen tft its just wierd.

r_mode 4 and cg_fov 90 .. i tried all those resoloutiongs.. started using r_mode 6 after like 2-3 months of using mode 6, but then i tried mode 4 and its by far the best chioice imo :P, but dont forget..its my oppinion :D

maybe with crt but with lcd/tft you wont notice anything. :P For example laptop screens are 60hz max - CRT at 60hz is like @_____@

In my old school we had like LCD @ 75hz, I guess it was ok and flat but I can't imagine gaming on them for a longer time.

1680x1050 60 hz @ 1680x1050 (20.1" lcd) so i use fov 115.2 :]
