Lag when I meet enemies.

I get alot of lag every time I get close to the enemy in ET, it dosnt happen when I play cod4. It didnt happen with my old PC, but it does with my one, even after I formated again about 5 days after I got it.
Does anyone know what the problem is?


CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000 3.0GHz
Graphics: XFX GeForce 8800GT 640M 512mb XT
Memory: Kingston 2048mb PC5300
Motherboard: Asus M2N-Sli Deluxe

If it didn't lag 4 days after the format, did u install or do something special on the 5th day :p ?

Maybe it's your connection?

The thing is, I got the pc like 2 weeks ago, it was the same before the format, then I formated because I fucked up some drivers, then it was still the same, its also showing 80-999 ping when I browse for servers (in cod4), but I have 50-70 ingame.

i also had that (must have been around 1 or 2 years ago) and i also had extreme packetloss at teamspeak then... it was caused by someone else downloading something in my network.
maybe its the same for you :)
