New TV!

Well, I consider buying a new TV, so i'd like to get some advices.

The price shouldn't be higher than around 900€.
my current favourite is the Sony KDL-32D3000, i heard a lot of positive things about it.
the TV will mainly be used for in connection with the ps3, so actually watching tv is secondary.

anyone got other recommendable models?

edit: i'll sit around 2.5 meters distanced from the screen

edit2: which console is better, ps3 or xbox360?

Get a Panasonic Plasma they are still the best at the moment, also because U can put the TV OFF and not on standby like all the other flat TV's
well, the problem is just, that the tv shouldnt be too big because i'm only gonna sit around 2.5 meters away from the screen.

and afaik plasmas are only avaible with 40" ++, and that's just too big...

LoL thougt u wanted a 40inch or bigger, anyways Panasonic is ruling the flat tv's atm

what specific models?
Parent
Just all, they are just the best ones at this momeny, and the bigger store's will give u the same advise

what do you think about the TX-32LXD700F ?

If possible, buy LG, they got the most sharpen and best colors in their TV's. (this info might be a bit old though)

ps. Make sure it has HD-ready fuction or otherwise it's useless
well
i heard positive things about like 6 brands now :(

But the fact is that every brand starts to get so good that there are no big differences anymore. :--)

Since under 40", look at the HD-ready models, as it seems your budget isn't the biggest, disregard plasma's.

Why?
- burn-ins are still possible, even though the new models have better logic to avoid those happening
- LCD consumes less power, 40" plasma can take up to 600W from wall
- LCDs usually cost less

Check before hand few models that you have in mind. Keep an eye on certain things you know you need, like HDMI inputs, component, composite, VGA and so on. Go to an local store to check the models you've chosen side by side, there are differences - don't just look at the aerial feed, ask the clerc to attach an Blu-ray player an compare with that. Look at the remote, what suits you best, if the other things are level, you can always find things that are better on one model.

Nowdays you can get 40" for 1000€(Sony 42D3000), so your price sounds bit steep.

Toshiba is very good, check them too.
