SD card problem

Today i bought a Kingston micro SDHC 4GB card. I pluged into the photocamera and everything was okey. I pluged the camera with usb to my computer and when i disconnected it i couldnt use the memory card anymore. It asks for format but when i try to format it asks again and again, nothing happen..
I will bring back to the shop tomorrow. But what do you think maybe it is damaged because i pluged the camera out ? Why i cant format ?
