ET ultimate installer

hey,

since I bought my new pc I got problems with ET.
My pc is running on windows XP so that won't be a problem..
Worm gave me ET-ultimateinstaller.exe and I just installed it and started playing ET. When I have running programs like msn, irc, websites, .. I have fps drops from 125 to 10 or smth.

When I close the programs, sometimes I can play withouth problems but sometimes I have to restart ET..

Since Worm bought his new pc, he has exactly the same problem as me..
So I gave him my ET-ultimateinstaller.exe and he installed it..

Maybe the problem is in the installer?
Should we try to install ET withouth the installer?
Does someone has the same problem with it?

its just a dualcore problem. ctrl + alt + delete and set "affiniteit" to cpu 0 only. Tick off cpu 1. hf

I have the same problem but i know how fix it
After connect to serv go to OPTIONS -> SYSTEM -> and click SET RECOMMENDED
Next load your cfg

i have the same problem..


i dont know why it works But i open a video eg a film, play it for 30 seconds. Then reload ET

its fine then, its wtf

I got the same probleme sometimes.
My "solution", just launch your game again and again and close your programs like firefox and others.
GL with it.

have the same problem, don't know how to fix it

and closing programs that are on doesn't help either

Try turning off threading optimization for ET in the nVidia panel (3D settings).

i had the same prob with my dual core.
i tried many things, but nothing changes.
then i found a tool which is very helpfull, and fixed my prob.
try nhancer: http://www.nhancer.com/

(you also need netframework 2.0 to install nhancer)

i run et now only with one cpu (nhancer :) ---> fps lags fixed.
i also use the dual core optimizer, for my amd cpu, which is also usefull. google for a intel optimizer.

i hope you can fix you're prob with nhancer.
