pc broken

hi,
my brother's pc seem to have broken. By rebooting the monitor stays black even if pc seem to work, but my brother think it doesnt boot further. he has 2 monitors and with everyone is it the same. What part seem to be broken? graficcard? plz help

use another graphics card if you have one to test it, then you'll know!

it's his brothers pc, why not use his to help? or borrow his monitor to check :D

I wouldn't open my pc to help my brother ;p but that's just because I don't even know how to unlock the card from the motherboard ;p

I had the same aswell, its not the graphic card, i tried 3 different ones and it didnt help, i didnt had a clue, so just bought a new 1 ;)

- Broken RAM-chip (very unlikely if you didn't open your case)
- Broken GFX-Card
- Badly installed CPU/CPU-cooler

Your graphic card is probably broken. How old is your system? Specs?

Try removing your RAM chips and/or the GFX-card and check if you hear any beeps. If you do, check your mobo-manual to see what those beeps actually mean.
