Logitech G5 Mouse tuning

I have read that I can patch my G5 to 1000MHZ ... is that correct ??

and how can I patch my G5 to have stable 500MHZ if there is no 1000MHZ patch ?

you dont need to patch is standard it runs 500 Hz

and why in gods name you want 1000Hz?
