I also have the same problem, but I'm living with it ;D
Sound Issue
Ok so here's the thing.. A short while ago I kinda picked up gaming again so I wanted to use my headset. Since I have an antec 900 case I have these 2 .. audio-port; a green (sound) and a pink (microphone) one.
I also have two entries on the back of my case -DUH-, cause of my onboard soundcard. I can remember using both my speakers and my headset so it is possible. When I plug in the green jack of my speakers in the front entry of my case and my green + pink jacks of my headset in the back of my case, my headset is the only thing which actually works and vice versa..

um, you could just use foobar then change the audio output to the speakers. Or.. thats why i do anyways.
Screw foobar, the pre-installed windows media player shit @ vista nigguh!
