Choose from 2 different setups
Hi
I have to help a friend choose a setup for his new PC and would like to hear what ppl think.
U can choose from theese 2 setups:
My choice would be (Setup1):

Other "helpers" choice(Setup2):

The setup will be overclocked and the budget is 600 Pounds+- a little

Thx ;)
btw. LAN PLS! :D
d&b will be come back woohoo
(And thx admin for cleaning up)
but 1st is better from this two
As far as i know 8800GT scales alot better when overclocked than 9600GT so in theory the 8800GT in this case should have a bigger performance gap down to the 9600GT than when its standard editions?
hey i have a question for u pc expert :p
I have exactly the same monitor and graca as u, but I have some problems with my resolution/hz n stuff.
At what resolution do you play in game and hz and so?
thx
r_displayRefresh "75"
com_maxfps "75"
Screen in Windows 75hz
Nvidia Control Panel -> Manage 3D settings -> Threaded Optimization "OFF"
(Edit)
BTW i hope u havnt installed the software for the screen...
Nvidia Control Panel -> Adjust desktop color settings -> Digital vibrance "15%"
However I would probably go for an ATi HD4850 if you can stretch £20. They are trouncing the nVidia offerings in the price-point benchmarks.
