Parent

Parent

:D ye but new one is only 30c more expensive xD i thought maybe there is a secret 1337 new mouse sensor that makes me pro :p

g5> mx518 If u switch back 518 u will notice.
nonono, 518 > G5
G5 sux x)
Parent
you sir, are right.
Currently using a G5, its skipping as hell.
had a mx518 before and loved it (only it breaks alot, thats why i changed in the first place)
Parent
i have borrowed a 518 from a friend, its so immensely better ^^ for my lowsensing thing, maybe at highsens g5>518

Just bought newer version of it and f*cking love it..

Absolutely nothing to complain..

(now i just haveto learn to aim...)
I bought my 518 yesterday, now Im waiting for the pack ;)
just put the DPI lower at options and you got the same mouse woila
are you sure about this?

i got the new one that is label at 1800dpi, i could select up to 2000dpi in setpoint and i had skipping problems(i reverted back to the old one), get the old one(1600dpi) imo...then you are at least 100% sure you get the "good one" ;>
Stick to what you are used too imho :P Went to buy a new diamondback a couple of weeks. they had both the old and some updated diamondback. I asked for the old version as at least that one I know and played with for so long.

ps: if you cant find old diamondback anymore, just look for razer pro click 1.6 mouse, its the same as diamondback and their latest drivers even support 400dpi, in contrast to latest db drivers which only allow for 1600dpi :D + its like 20 euros cheaper, only diff betwen pro click and db is the colour and the blue led got removed on pro click.
MX518 is great but it surely breaks after 2 years or so, it always does
i got my 518 for so long, i cant remember if it was more then 2 years ago -.-
Parent
i costed 31€ so i really dont care :)
Parent
5 years warranty ftw
Parent
nope.. "only" 3 years..
Parent
I have 5 :D
Parent
Wrong.

I've got a MX-518 since 2005 and it still works well, and I can assure you it felt a lot of time from my desk.

tbh, if I have to buy a new mouse, i'll buy another MX-518 :>
Parent
i have both, the old and refresh version. i feel no difference between.
refresh has only 200 dpi more.

and i get only 1800 dpi in setpoint with the refresh version (didn't heard before of that bug with 2000 dpi).

using setpoint 4.00.

so it's your choice!
400 dpi is unprecised to compare to 2000 right ? So it means u need this lack of dpi to be aiming correctly ? :<
400 dpi is not unprecise BUT its slower :D thats a difference
Parent
buy the old one, 1800 dpi is so fucking useless really.
keep ur g5, the weight thingy rocks
get the newest, it got a better sensor and you can adjust the x and y axis via the drivers.
orly? :D nice ty
