Problem fps help me pls

I have a problem with my fps. I dont have have 125 fps (they r REALLY not stable) but the weirdest thing is that i have a good computer...

-CPU:3.2 ghz
-Pentium 4
-3 go ram
-GeForce 8800 GT 512mb

If you can find out my problem about my fps it'll be really nice

Try closing all superficial programs while playing

Get a more low-fps cfg

If you have Xfire on, quit it BEFORE opening ET.

If you have xfire running it´s enough to turn off ingame chat, then it works fine.

I usually turn it off totally, no point without ingame chatting :D!

Well but you can set an option that you hear a (weird) sound if anyone writes to you ingame,
then you can minimize at a fullspawn and tell him to stfu :)

Disable "threaded optimization" in the driver options, if it´s enabled.
