Changing FOV to correspond the new aspect ratio

* Changing aspect ratio only fixes your geometry. By doing it you will have correct/same width as with 4:3 resolution but you will lose information vertically.
* To fix this, use the following formula to fix your FOV: FOV=2*atan((48/40)*tan(fov/2))
* Let's say you have FOV 120

FOV=2*atan((48/40))*tan(120/2))
FOV=2*atan(1.2*1.732)
FOV=2*atan(2.078)
FOV=2*64.3
FOV=128.61
this is way too hard for me! xD

edit: is that what the converter does in your place?

Just use windows calculator :/
Converter will give same result I guess, but if you want to check yourself you can fill this in.

We get cock blocked in aus competitions though as the max fov allowed is 120.

Problem is it wont stop us playing with 90fov which at 16:10 by your formula is close to 80fov

btw i'm 1680x1050/16:10 - 110fov (cant do 112 as it converts over 120) = 119.481243187

120 is an example, 120 is also the max here :), but I wonder how many would want more then 120 fov.
