if you type "cg_shownormals 1" and connect to cybergames you won't get kicked, you have to type seta cg_shownormals 1 + the command is r_shownormals 1..

cg_shownormals 1 = seta cg_shownormals 1

the both call the exact same function and set the exact same variable to the exact same value...

but if he typed "seta" it will be saved in the etconfig file, thus kicking him. afaik if you type a cheat command, f.e kik_aim 1 without 0 it won't kick you (for generic cvar scan) but im not sure

wrong, seta does not write your etconfig, it just sets it in memory the same as just typing the command would
