Clan playing on servers without your knowledge

Hi,

I checked the logs, and found out that clans were playing on our server, without our knowledge.
Probably there is nothing I can do. If U will play with them be aware that they will most probably come to your server, if U will not change the password after the match with them.

They are from this clan.

Once I saw some clan on our srv, connected and kicked just one of them. Then they started to whine, why ,whats wrong (probably the other clan did not even know that they are on our srv). After that they were sayin like please just one, just one, can we can we.

seriously if u dont want any1 to play on ur srv just change the pw after each match -_- and ofcoz u need to know that polish ppl r so poor they cant afford a srv so just let them play on urs while u dont have any cw :o

EDIT: ive read ur comments and i have to say ur hell of a bitch, u probably dont see any difference between a girl and ET srv, since u dont have any friends, but i will enlighten u now. and it isnt the saem as driving som1 car. u cant stand that any1, except you, plays on ur srv?

its just a fucking server lol, so what if they "borrowed" it... man, you have got some issues ;)

dont know what you will loose if they are playing on it and you arent using it ATM and you dont intend to use it in the near future... :S

They use something that is yours without asking. Something where you paid money for.

It is not exactly the same as the comparison with the car, but it comes close.

They have no business on your server.

This reminds me of a funny thing that happened a few months ago. We were looking for a game on #6on6.et, some guy was looking for a game too and said he has a server. I thought why not play on their server and I asked for the IP. He gave me the IP and password and I was wondering lol they have the same password as we do. Then I connect to the server and it says I'm connecting to our server, I was like wtf?! On our server there was a clan (don't remember anymore what they were called) ready to play against us. We were laughing our asses off as people realised what's going on, we didn't have our tags on so we went along with it and complimented them on a nice server they have. They were thanking us and so on. Well we played the game and after the game they told us to leave their server or they'll kick us (they had voted for some refs). To their surprise some of us reffed and kicked them from the server. Poor guys thought they found a good server to have some games, tough luck they picked us as their opponents.

I love those take-overs =)

First you change the map with recon, since one party doesn't know what is happening, they start accusing the stealing server clan.

Then you kick few players of one clan :D

Then a restart to a not familiar map which most of them have to download.

If there is someone left, repeating the procedure :D

changing the pass every time is just fucked up. The best way to keep this organised is this:

- There are two passwords.
- Password 1 is playtime password
- Password 2 is serverclosed password.

1. You change the server pass to the playtime password
2. You play on your server.
3. You change the server pass to the serverclosed password once you stop playing.

If everyone in your clan is disciplined enough to do this then you will never have people hijacking your server.

or you could just simply shut the server down when you don't use it and start it up when you need it.

OR.. you could just not give a shit and let them play. #care

Upload some lame config(fucked up gravity/speed) on the server with config voting disabled and use it after each of ur match, when you will want to play - just use ref to set one of the normal configs. Much better than password changing.
