PnkbstrB.exe heartbeats, again

help me crossfire, i get kicked a lot because of this

tried:

pbsvc.exe reinstall (got worse after i did that)
shutting down zonealarm (worked for 2 games)
pbsetup

Check out if punkbstrA.exe is running when you start up the computer, punkbstrA.exe starts up punkbstrB.exe and check out if not a firewall or virusscanner blocked punkbstrA.exe.

Try using windows xp built-in firewall instead, at least for some time and see if it did help.
