Connecting a Sky Box to a Monitor.

Has anyone connected up a sky box to a computer monitor or used an up scaling converter to convert PAL to a format which can be displayed on a monitor through either a dvi or vga connector?

I have found some cheap upscaler for scart to dvi but it seems to convert to resolutions of 1024*768 (4:3) which probably would look weird on my monitor which is native 1680*1050 (16:10).

Basically has anyone got any suggestions on converting from a video or scart to dvi or vga?

Did it with Virgin media. Suppose it's do able with Sky too.

I didnt use any converter, i used the AV channel, 3 jacks (red, white, yellow) into my tuner card.

I am talking about a straight connection to a monitor, not using a computer tv tuner card.

A cheap scaler is a shit scaler, unfortunately. I'd be very careful, we use them in quadv and have had some difficulties with them in the past.

I don't really mind the price because it definitely will be cheaper than buying a new TV. Which one did you use?
