1800 dpi 500hz/1000hz winsens 3/11 ETsens whatever you want
the mouse will only work at top performance if you use 1800dpi, just do some testing with 400dpi and do some fast flicks with low ingame sens. The skipping will stop once you use high dpi.
Use windows sens to lower the dpi, 1800cpi * 3/10 = +/- 600 dpi
(cpi = counts per inch, if the box of your mouse sais its 1800dpi, this mean the mouse does 1800 counts per inch, using default win sens (*10/10) will give you a movement of 1800 dots per inch of movement. Using 3/11 will give make your 1800cpi turn into 600dpi, which shouldnt give any problems with the quake engine and its dislike for high dpi)
Do your homework overdrive! That's just a bug in the first firmware version that you're explaining here.. It has been fixed in firmware version 1.10 :-)
Since v1.10 450/900dpi modes have no skipping or accel at all.. can't say the same about accel with 1800 dpi. Another immortant thing in firmware (v1.05) is the updated liftoff-distance, if you didnt update your firmware yet.
i used deathadder with latest firmware and it skips like hell when i put it to low sens :)
the liftoffdistance is a bitch indeed, i fixed that by putting on some extra glids.
doesnt really skip here. Are u using a cloth mousepad? Cuz for me it only skips on slick surfaces (non-cloth :p). Isnt 1800dpi asking for negativ accel btw?
use the search function, 1000000000nd's of people asked the same before. But the best thing is to test the settings urself and just play with the settings YOU like and not some settings from a "highskilled" ET-player.
some play with 450, others with 900dpi
some just plug and play dunno what's best
not with Razer deathadder
Plug and don't work
get Logitech
I like my razer mice more :<
Both me and chizz6l use it
