i has a problem ...

with widescreen resolution
i have a 20'' widescreen tft
16:10

the problem is, when i use widescreen resolution like 1440*900 the game will run really unsmooth, but when i use r_mode 4/6/8 then the game is smooth.
my fps is exactly the same with widescreen resolution then normal resolution.
displayrefresh locked to 75.

Help meh : (

EDIT: tried diffirent gfx drivers, all were teh same.

I have go the same problem too at resolultion 1440*900 :(
I live with it for 6 month so you have to get used to it, hard but no other solution till now.

Use r_mode -1 for widescreens i asume your getting screen tearing using the others.
Usually the res on a 20in widescreen is 1680 x 1050 try this resolution with r_mode -1 see if its any better

already tryed that, when i use that one, then i get normal fps, but the game feeling is really unsmooth.

Set your refresh rate to 60 it may be that your GPU is spitting out an image faster than the monitor can display causing overlapping frames and creating a tearing effect, also enable vsync.

and put a high fov ofc!
