Problem..

Hey...

I got a problem whit damn aim.. Ive talked to alot of ppl about and decidet to make a post here.. And im pretty sure its gonna get flamed and so on.. But they might be some good advise also,

Well i startet to play ET again after a 6 months breake, And in between i got my self a new comp and monitor, I went from a 17" lcd to a 28" lcd, (Yea big change i know)

But iver since i startet up again its been like i dont know the game anymore.. And my damn aim wont improve at all, Infact its gone worse then when i startet again.. I talked to alot of ppl trying to find out what i could do.. But all most all of them said to play more.. But i cant play more..

I play 12-15 hours a day (Yes i got nolife) I track the gun thingy on ctf_multi from time to time, I play reflex all most every day and beside that i play wars 1on1 and pubs as much as i can.. But my aim wont improve at all, Not even a little bit

Is there such a thing as playing to much..?? The reason i made this topic is because im at the point where im about to vommit if i dont get break in aiming..

So if u got any ideas or anything i would like to hear them..

I use a and mx518 atm whit a razer mantis control mat. ive tried other mice and mousepads but it dosent seem to make a diff And higher or lower dpi settings same deal, Hz as well

my record in reflex is 300 give or take

Mx518
dpi 1600
hz 250

Hope u can help..

can help u, but.. rather pm me.. dont have time atm
You are getting to old to play "pro".Play for fun, relax and have a good time,No stress
dont play that often, sometimes a break will help u :-)

edit: try lower dpi for no negative accel and 500 hz.
28" is a bit big for playing et id say thats yor main problem right there, plus for mx518 you would be better with 400dpi and 500hz and a medium sens.
Do 400dpi , and 500hz on mouse :/
its actually very simple GET A CRT!
and change refresh rate to 85/120 and then put r_displayRefresh 85/120 and get an ok config that fits you and thats it. there are some good lcd's but they're more expensive than crt and most people still got their old crt monitors somewhere in the basement (:P)
Agreed with rAUUL, more U push it, less progress U make. Do not change sens/ptch/fov whenever U think U suck in game - try to play one setting.

After 3-4 hours of play U'r arm and wrist are "tired", after 12-15 hours U propobly won't have proper sens of the game.

Set U'r windows sens below or equal 6/10. It has impact on negative accelaration.
Since U bought that big ass LCD U just have to learn to play on it :) think heads of U'r opponemts will be a bit bigger ;)

Acclfix?

Try also pmove_fixed 0.
