Refresh Rate

My monitor is set to a 75Hz refresh rate, but I find when I play that it's actually running at to 60Hz (looking in the nvidia panel). Is there some way of keeping it at 75? I thought it should support 75Hz at lower resolutions than the desktop - I normally play in 1024*768. And how does the monitor refresh rate impact on playing? I have my fps set to either 125 or 76 in-game, and my monitor is at 60Hz. So the game is refreshing 125 times a second while the monitor is doing so twice as slow, how does this affect things? Is it just blur or what? And then there is the 25ms response time. What does this all mean?!?!

r_displayrefresh xxx
i thought r_displayrefresh only applied if you have v-sync enabled

lower mode = higher refreshrate
not necessairly because my tft does 75hz on 1680x1050 but also 75 on the lowest resolution:D:D:D

Only on CRT's does your hz go higher with a lower res afaik.

Google -> refreshlock
Mine is 60 at my normal resolution. But in game with my lower resolution and r_displayrefresh 75 if I check the nvidia settings its 75. So try setting it through your config.

and wow 25s response time is horrible, you might want to use a different monitor.
