modding help

i've been searching spashdamage forums for some info on how to change cg_gunx/y/z settings per weapon (so each weapon would use different settings), but i was unable to find any tool/tutorial which would help me with that.
if you know some tutorial that could help me with this, pls reply...

Those cg_gun settings should be cheat protected , I might be wrong though.

i only need it in demos, you can use different gun settings there...

no its not. you need to register ingame cvars and check what gun player is using etc etc... might not be so easy :X
