Quake Live stuck on XMPP authentication

Yeah I'm on XP SP3 and can't really play quake live... It either gets stuck in "Waiting for XMPP authentication" or "Awaiting challenge" and I have to ctrl+alt+del and close firefox.

It worked before without any problems...

half of europe have got 60+ pings at uk/de servers.now the 50% guys with imba ping whine about the netcode,the other 50% with shit ping find the netcode very good.But guess what,the low pingers still have got big advantage :) .

We all know that the netcode is buggy atm but it's 10x better than old q3.If they manage to improve it at cpma level could be very cool.But for now i think is ok and ppl must stop whine.Netcode atm helps insane for bigger player database.

tro dat, I guess im just "spoiled" with cpma, but why should anything but the best be enough? :-p
the net feels pretty good most of the time, but some of the servers are pretty bad(SE#2, all PL, most eastern servers, sometimes the UK servers).

how about just removing stats? then you could've 10 times as many players, but then quite a few would drop the game, now what to pick, quantity or quality?!
