how is it crap, it gives the ' lower ' teams a better chance against higher teams on maps as frost and braun. i just hate loosing a match against equal opponents with frost as map, it'll happen somewhere in the tournament playoffs of course... but in the groupstage i think this way it'd be best.

yea well actually its not about "i dont like" or "i hate" ... its about the fucking mappool. noone wants to play frost i guess but thats the mappool and just because noone wants to play a map you cant come with "yea you can play frost ololololol i want supply/grush for all my games" because you dont like playing frost, because the "lower" teams dont want to play frost either.

still makes it a personal view. mapchoices should have nothing to do with "i hate losing frost against equal opponents so let others play that map" if the maps are from a pool either both get to choose one or they are given random. but not on personal attraction.

afaik last time they had supply/gold like only once in groups, it's better for them to reuse frost/adler/braun/etc because they are faster = less chance of scheduling issues

afaik what happened last lans was either... 2 maps are allocated at random... or 1 map is allocated at random and the loser of that map chooses the next map (unless its a double fullhold where the other map is at random as well)

should be last match indeed, i suggest you pm adacore or whomever is in charge of this, would be kind of lame to loose against high seed just because it's your first match on lan :x

It's their 2nd match, and the reason it's not the third match is for coverage, so it isn't at the same time as Perception vs JB in group D.

how are maps picked at groupstage? and playoffs?

playoffs I guess you cant pick the same map you picked last 2 games, but are there any maps forced in groupstage or so? just some infos on the maps you know :)

Groupstage maps are preselected by admins (me) - each game has one of gold/supply and one of braun/frost/radar, iirc.

For playoff matches, teams can choose maps, however can't choose a map that they've selected for one of their last two games (so have to cycle between a minimum of three maps).
