help a brother out

hey i wanted to play et again,but someone told me i needed .55 first so i downloaded that,after the download they told me to download a .6b patch orso to play on .6b..
when i wanted to connect to a server it said incorrect et version does anyone know what to do?

Taking 2.60b won't help you update from .55 to .6 , the patchs just will update the .6 to .6b , wich isnt related to 2.55 version at all .. First download 2.60 and install it , after it patch 2.60b to your Enemyterritory folder.
