ET LAN in Croatia?
Hello. Well I accidentally noticed 
Gamersject team that is hosting international CoD4/CoD2/CS:S LAN here in Croatia and I spoke with them a bit and they said they might be interested in taking ET for next lan, that would be held somewhere in end of september or start of october. Now I'm asking you if you would be interested to come here and play, most likely fee would be smth like CC lans(or less) and prizepurse smth like CC lans also(or even a bit more). I know flights ll be a bit more expensive but you can see that yourself. Some of airports in Croatia, 
Slovenia, 
Hungary & 
Austria that are sort of close to LAN location:
Zagreb (distance from Zagreb,approximately)
Zadar (250km)
Pula (250km)
Split (380km)
Ljubljana (160km)
Maribor (140km)
Budapest (350km)
Vienna (350km)
That LAN will most likely be in Zagreb, and I think you could take flight to Zagreb or cheaper to Zadar(250km away) so you can take bus/train (20€ max) and continue to Zagreb.
Besides that, accomodation prices shouldnt be very high, nor is food or drinks. So thats a big plus for Croatia. You could also take a train or bus...or simply come with a car, you can see the distance urself, on www.viamichelin.com

1L Qpack beer in shop - around 1.40€
0.5L in local bar - around 2€ (somewhere even around 1.50€)
0.5L in more popular bars - around 3-4€

Hostel 20€ max per person/night (not sure though, might be a bit less maybe)
(example, confirmed by danL; hostel with kitchen,breakfast & internet for 5 people, 16.4€ per person)
Admins would be also greatly appreciated, so if anyone is interested in this kind of job also let me know. I might help it a bit but I dont think I'm right person to lead entire LAN as I'd like to concentrate on playing and also dont find myself experienced about that kind of stuff.
Currently 3rd edition of this LAN is going to be held in Split, in middle of July. 2nd edition was held in Zagreb, in this place:
Well as bo already mentioned down in thread, it's called Gamersject LAN, as I have already said, 3rd edition is coming in 5 weeks and after that, the next LAN might feature ET if we show a good interest.(Location for next LAN will be most likely changed back to Zagreb)

Zagreb. Featured games are still TBD, I believe it's gonna be decided after their LAN in Split (middle of July).

and cheaper in general i mean. like accomodations and food etc.
to get there might be a little bit more expensive for some people that didnt have a long travel way to enschede but on the other hands others will have it closer on this one !
e: There could be a team consist of GIGABYTE/underscore/overdose players, but I don't know about their opinnion. The other would have 'newschooler' players, but as I said some of them not over 18 years, so there could be family/money issues. Rest of the 'community' members would not show up, I am sure.
Anyway if there won't be Hungarian team, or will be but w/o me, I am looking for an Intenational team for this event.

great roads (i'd say even better than german ones), nice girls, hot weather and beautiful views ;P zagreb is not that pretty tho, so i recommend to stay there longer and visit some sea villages like sibenik or dubrovnik

Indeed an austrian team would be nice although even if there wont be a team to play with for me, i d still think of just coming to spec...

just have a look at google maps...
zagreb is at the very top of croatia, you just need to drive through Slovenia (over maribor) and from there its like just another 100-150km :)

and Zadar police is nice :D policeman was a real copy of van Damme :D
anyway we tested what our honda accord can do and it ended up with driving into police radar 237km/h :D
at first they sayd that 3day arrest + 400eur fine but in the end they just let us go and sayd goodbye.
