when I played ET back then I often had 999s and in order to avoid the 3-6 minutes waiting I just deleted my etkey to be on the server as fast as possible without any "duplicate guid" kicks :)

Also I sometimes got kicked/banned from publics I usually played on. I just deleted the etkey and voila I was able to play on the server again :)))
