Buzzing Weird Sound

Hi, got ma new pc and its all fine n stuff.
its just that i got this annoyin issue when playin ET, the sound is CRAP :\
i cant fuckin understand wut im hearin (goes lyk brbrbbuzbuz in ma ears when walkin on sand or when there r too many ppl shootin in the same place in the same time or smtg)
nyways. tried 2 reinstall sound drivers etc, also tried a better headset (didnt work ofc -_-)

hope nyone knows wtf :<

nyways.
umm got this realtek onboard sound card (Gigabyte P55-USB3), tried 2 mess abit with the settings (fucked it up twice actually). runnin on Win7 Ultimate x64 (blah blah shhh!).
this issue wasnt b4 when i used WinXP x64 (...).

That happened to me for some reason when I had Vista and then I wiped the laptop and installed xp. I figured it was some kind of driver issue, and I had to go back to vista because I couldn't play ET.

have you checked to make sure the drivers for your onboard soundcard are windows 7 compatable? if it continues and they are compatable, id buy a stand alone soundcard, theyre pretty cheap and should resolve the problem (just make sure the one you buy has drivers that will work with windows 7!)
