ET crashes with no error?

Hi guys,
a friend of mine is experiencing some issues with his ET lately.
He bought a new monitor, 1920x1080, forced with r_mode -1.

After few minutes of playing, his games crashes to desktop & no error popup.
GFX temperatures are alright, displayrefresh is fine also.

Any ideas?

also happened to me yesterday.
never got that in 7 years.

was it a slac server he played on?
