I'd like your opinion about a few maps which were used in competition. (if you still remember them)

- Wolken_b1 (/Wolken_b2?)
- Sottevast(final)
- Dubrovnik(final)
- Bergen (?) (Erdenberg)
- Das Boot
- TC_base
- Transmitter
- V1_rocket/V2_factory (?)
- Warbell
- Venice

e: Missile, sos, cathedral, coast, frost comp and crevasse.

What I would like to know about them;

- What do/did you like/dislike about the maps?
- What do you think needs to be changed about the maps?
- 3on3/5on5 map?

- Sottevast(final) -> i like it, though needs competitive fixes
- Dubrovnik(final) -> roofs = gay + spawntimes gay, gay map

TC base is like radar, except you don't see the opponent coming and its easier to sneak around, that's why people hate it :<

nahh its not much like radar

i think people dont like dynamite ending maps because they dont provide as much excitement (eg. Braundorf, everbody is saying gg when the dynamite is planted etc)

docruns provide much more excitement, and have had many more legendary moments (fin vs be @ adlernest, dragos panzerfaust, all the adlernest moments) and therefore docrun maps are a better alternative to maps like tc base

You forgot sos, cathedral, coast, ice, frost comp and crevasse.
et_ice is still in use :p
I've never played the other maps you've mentioned. (maybe crevasse)

Most of them have been played for only a short period but still could be worthy of mentioning.

tc_base was a mess on 6on6 (though we just mixed it and fooled around few times), why not try in 5on5 since the configs aren't so pro-spam nowadays.

Maps that should be improved(for 5o5) and tested:

Oasis (the 'previous change' is shit)
karsiah (was a good idea to close one part, but still boring)
Cathedral (epic but unplayable in 5v5)
Bremen_b3 (smth is wrong with the cp stage :S)
Enjoyed dubrov, missle (as it was something new) and sos. Might elaborate later.
As for missile. It might have been ok for 6on6 but won't work in 5on5.
Even for 6v6 it was too long,tho its just my opinion :p

venice:
-axis 2nd spawn - exits are too small
-allies 2nd spawn - stair exit is by far too small and can easily be covered by axis ( is is no real alternative to the bridge way)

-tankway is too long/takes too much time for the tank to drive through
-too many obstacles at the first stage

-additionally escorting the boat takes too much time (maybe getting the docs to the truck on foot might be a good alternative)

transmitter:
-both gates/all routes can too easily be covered from the center
-gate should not be re-constructable

-only one spawn for axis is just not enough (at least not in the middle of nowhere with only one exit)

warbell:
-first stage was pretty ok imo, whilst getting CP was far too easy for attacking team
-getting the gate on the contrary was too difficult because of lack of alternative routes imo (everything could more or less be covered from the main gate wall)

base:
-too easy to spawnkill axis imo

-north gate is too easy to cover/too long for a straight route (thus most attacks from south anyway)

cathedral:
-first stage too roomy imo, and at 2nd stage too much foliage

-main gate was too much of a threat to care for a CP-defence

sos:
liked it, just maybe the axis spawn should be altered a little
Need another spawnpoint for axis, maybe from the ammo-cabin. (tc)

wolken - a bit campy but I liked it(it's not worse than braun killerboy!)
sottevast - liked it also but needs fixing
dubrovnik - too small yet too big
tc_base - crap camp map
warbell - bit too big and confusing due to 10000 hallways, getting the main gate can be hard
venice - don't like, too long routes and too camp at some points
crevasse - liked it though the first part of the map is better than the second which has final obj too far away from the axis spawn and the launch control part is too hard for allies
sos - like like!
missile - with some fixing a decent map
coast - dunno what to say, haven't played it enough, seems fun though
rockeyes - interesting, not too big iirc, don't remember why was it dropped
frost_comp - remember the showmatches, wasn't all too bad
odenthal - don't remember much about the map but I remember it was interesting


anyway, half of those maps are better than delivery(maybe even frostbite) and few better than beach/ice/ufo/braun
tc base nice map for 3v3 imo
and like xeoxis said, I really liked crevasse when i played it on certain pubs maybe a good warmap with some fixes

edit: Imo you should get adler and frost out of the mappoule aswell or atleast 1 of them since they are pretty much based on luck. i prefer maps like gold or supply

Frostbite is a map i hate a lot prob my my hated. Never really got to play missile, i hate ufo final.
i agree with shev secret weapon should be re added
i think Coast could be pretty good, seemed good to plan for tactically

I dont care which maps we have as long as delviery isnt in the maplist!
te_escape2 for 3on3!!! it would be the next goldrush or something for sure, a great map really :) probably wouldnt suit 5on5.

another one is HoG_b12 for 3on3, heart of gold, beta 12 probably the latest.. anyway that would be the next supply i just dont know how to make people try those out :x[
