high resolution

hi

currently im using a 23 inch monitor on my desktop but my ET doesnt seem to handle it very well.. a.k.a my ET crashes everytime i change to a higher resolution.

the max resolution i can play with is 1280x1024 whilst i play other games on 1920x1080 just fine. ive already tried chaning the customwidth and height in my cfg but i couldnt figure out other settings i could use for it..

can ET be played on 1920x1080? and if so, what settings do i have to change for it.

i dont know but another question : why does my hz value change back to 60hz when i start ET ? usually its set to 75hz :(

I guess your monitor doesn't support higher Hz with the resolution you use for ET? What r_displayrefresh do you have?

i i looked it up and it says it supports 75 , same value as my displayefresh is set to.
i wonder what r_DIPSLAYREFRESH is though

got the same one.. got it like 2 days ago :D but tell me... when you use 1920x1080 does the gun look like its cut off a bit? hard to explain what i mean :\ like if i were to use 1024x768 i can see the whole gone :p but on the highest resolution it looks like its half of the gun xD

when changing from 4:3 to 16:9 (or 16:10) you have to change your fov, but dont have the formula at hand. google for "fov and resolution change quake3 engine" or something like that.
