ET crashes

Hi
I always have been playing et on and on without a problem but today i had to reinstall it (switch the movieET with teh gamingET more or less).
Well now i just wanted to try out if everything worked and ET has some terrible fps lags now...
every 10 or 15 seconds frames go down to 10 or sth or sometimes it just crashes for some seconds...
arrgh
anyone has a solution?

edit: watching ETTV or stuff makes no problem...
strange...
ideas?

well new results:
when i start ET with HLSW it works... if i then disconnect and connect to any server the problems are here again..
anyone that can avoid formatC?
