Fps lag every 10 min

You should try to run ET in one core. Launch ET -> minimize ET -> Open Task manager -> Find ET.exe -> Set affinity -> Uncheck all cores expect one.

You should delete PB folders from your ET folder.

Open ATI control panel -> Choose gaming -> Choose 3D application settings -> Scroll down till "Wait for vertical refresh" set it to performance (Always off). You can also try to disable triple buffering, I don't know if it goes with this name in ATI cards but at least in NVIDIA cards it is called triple buffering.

Close unnecessary programs.

Type /r_finish in console and press TAB, check which value you have (1 or 0). Try the other value (if you have 1 try 0 and vice versa).

Have you recently updated your graphic card drivers? If so you might want to try older versions since new graphic card drivers may cause some problems in old games like ET.

Check your fans and that they are working properly so it is not overheating problem, cleaning your computer time to time is recommended.

In ET, go options and press "Set recommended or default" (Can't remember which one it is) After that do /vid_restart if it doesn't automatically do it. Then just reload your config by doing /exec <Your_configs_name>

I have heard that launching another d3d applications such as Battlefield 1942 before launching Q3-engine based games may cause a FPS lag. This is fixable by just booting the game.
