Rome Total War II

Has any of you bought this game?

I got mine just few moments back from DHL guy. Now installing it, have been waiting for a decent amount of time for the game to be released.

If you don't know this game, I recommend you to try it at least once.

Have a nice day!

Europa Universalis 4.
me and brothers got it on steam sale preorder a few months ago, should be good even if no real changes from shogun 2.
As much I have seen the progress of the game, it is way different from shogun 2, graphicly, game wise and mehanics.
When shogun 2 had beautiful sword play with katanas during 2 groups of enemys engagin each other.
Rome 2 offers more dynamic and more masses combat system.
Whereas brute force hits the wall of men.

Land scape and city have deeper meaning, I got this game installed, steam updates it a bit and then I am good to go.

yea but mainly just improvements on what shogun has already done. The main 'change' I can see is that army capacity is lower or at least utilised specialist generals are limited - probably a good thing. Political side of the game comes into play a lot, just like the last rome title. Ive found the battles are quite good but the ai is not too amazing or at least easy to manipulate. great game so far all round though :)

Playing as Sparta and have just taken over greece =P time for a break before more madness.

CANT WAIT. Trying to scrounge up some money to actually get it tho :D
yes the AI seems the same, send few archer type units, piss them off, run back and works like a charm.
I love the improvement, when behind walls or hills, can lose track over enemy units.

haha, ranged units have always been overpowered. I can't fucking wait damnit i need to get it :D

at least from roman side I love the early accsess to tustedo. It doesn't protect men 100% from piercing and penetration. But a lot better to advance enemy missile troops than just go open.

Just tried it out.Simply fantastic in my point of view.
Fleet system is unique and you don't have to buy ships and soldiers, so you could go over seas.
The AI is mostly the same, but units keep to flee faster, so more tactics is needed.

The city system hauls is kinda like shogun 2, but a bit more complex, soldier buying isn't the same.
Over all interesting and was worth the wait.

I would give 9 out of 10. I know there is still lots to discover and do, but the start got me going.
If i recon properly the first part was really great game, probably gonna give a try to this one as well, is it free or is there any price on it?
on steam now 54, but I got pre ordered from local inet shop, so I got it without any DLC for 39

I prefer mount&blade
mount & blade is nice, gets boring after a while tho. But don't really think you can compare Rome to M&B, both games are brilliant imo :)

yes got it but u need to have a rly strong pc
It is a bit laggy and buggy at some points. A lot people complain about the huge fps drops.

My cousing got i7 dunno what model hd 7970 and even him got on some battles fps 20.
