After quite a long break i'm playing bits of ET again for fun..
I bought a Syncmaster 940BF meanwhile and i'm facing a weird shiny blur around trees etc., when i'm moving my mouse quickly from left to right. I also got this prob when other players are jumping around etc. .. I bet it's just something with a lightning setting in my config..

Can anyone help me out plz? kthx

do not install drivers. my friend had same probbs. After driver uninstall all were working fine.

Doesn't have to be legal just because it's standard though.

Its not legal if it involves external programs, like drivers, or tweaking software. (rivatuner as an example)

might be just your screen.
changing colors takes time, and dark objects moving fast can produce light "shadows" behind them.

You mean ghosting, I doubt you'll have that with his monitor. The responsetime is probably too low for that, and it won't cause glowing edges.

I experience slight ghosting with my monitor. Samsung Syncmaster 931C, so pretty much the 940BF but with a higher contrast ratio.

What responsetime does your monitor have? Below 16 ms you shouldn't have any ghosting, in theory. Ghosting doesn't cause glowing edges though.

2ms, it is the 940BF, pretty much, only has 2000:1 contrast ratio. (I have the same monitors as the CPC ones, with a 5:4 aspect, not the 16:9 aspect ones ;-))

Prob seems to be gone now.. only had it on telenetserver, so i guess it had something to do with configsettings :o

ghosting if it suddenly disapears its still there but ur getting used to it.

i now see ghosting on crt's
