r_picmip

ok i have a problem, whenever i join a server all the settings i have in my etconfig and autoexec are loaded, except "r_picmip" it's always at 1..
there is no .cfg where "r_picmip 1" is written in....

the only way to change it is to load another map...vid_restart doesn't help...
maybe there are other r_ values that also don't change but picmip is the only one i notice

help anyone? :(

reset r_lastvalidrenderer
how do you mean? should it be 0 or the value of my renderer?
Parent
just write "/reset r_lastvalidrenderer" to console and press enter, then try again

ok i did it..it now worked after i did exec etconfig.cfg and vid_restart. but it still wasn't picmip 3 after connect :(

mayb start by filling in r_picmip <2/3> in your autoexec.. mayb that will change it too go to 1 everytime :o
Yea I have the same problem. I write r_picmip in etconfig and autoexec but it still loads default one.
i got it now..if you wanna change it, do the following

start et
/r_picmip 0-3
/vid_restart
/writeconfig test.cfg
then in test.cfg search for r_lastvalidrenderer and take exactly what is written there and copy it into your etconfig. that's the only method that worked for me

Thanks a lot, it's working.

just paste ur cfg into etconfig in both etpro and etmain profiles ;)
add set r_picmip to ase
etmain/profiles/name/etconfig.cfg

change r_picmip there ;)
then it will work

coz ET is first loading etmain cfg and then r_picmip would need a vid_restart
