Battle For Berlin is an international tournament coming in November 2006. Alot of information regarding the tournament will be rolling out the woodwork in the coming days. The tournament team list is currently full, with a decent amount of teams waiting if a spot frees up.
We took on the tournament as a full figured event, with prizes, sponsors, and alot of exposure on dozens of gaming sites. We wanted the community to know there was a tournament for them. We first worked on graphics and a website that provided an ability to find almost anything related to the tournament, and if something was missing it woudln't be too hard to aquire that information via forum, email, mirc, etc. Anyways, our next goal was to make a trailer or "teaser" of sorts...
We knew we had to aquire a great producer for this endeavor. We already had alot of hype from the tournament and wanted to continue our momentum with a fast and thirlling trailer showcasing the game we love, RtCW, and also being informative on the basics of the tournament. We knew of only one person, Saladin of Filanthropy Cinema.
Saladin has made a name for himself with alot of great videos in the US, aswell as being apart of other projects and really fueling alot of other procuders on the right track. He's a talented and gracious person, doing the trailer for free for the game he loves, RtCW. He did a great job, and took quite a while on the tournament.
This is an experience I'll never forget, as I told him what scenes I wanted and what the theme should be, and he took his own pool of demos and his own visual effects and procuded a final in one shot; a spitting image of what I wanted.
