- Tell me, who am I talking to?
Well, im Mike "Sheep" Gibbs, 16 year old sixth form student from the shitty town of Hull, in Yorkshire, England. Currently leading the ET division of myLegend eSports and have hardly any free time whatsoever!
- For starters: where and when did you really started playing ET?
Well, I started playing a game called C&C Tiberian Sun, and played that for an aweful long time. When that game died out, i was in need of a new game i could just play for fun. I stumbled across ET around April of 2005, and only really started playing seriously July of 2005, with my first taste of clanwars with $E$, secret elite soldiers, you know players such as kErAn, Hatred and the likes. However it was hard being the only non-german, so it came to an end. I was soon a member of a fun clan called #just.mfg esports, again with germans, players such as HeavyG, roar, D0wny, Stiffler and co. However the funclans can't last forever, and from there I decided to go into the clan leading business. Some people may remember reaLity gaming, or rG, in which I build a squad up over a long period of time, which actually consisted of around 10 players... rG was the foundation of which the squad I have now was built upon, and look where I am now, myLegend eSports.
- What is the greatest thing that ever happened to you while playing ET?
The greatest thing, hmmm. I can't really say there has been anything spectacular that has happened to me whilst being a member of the ET community. The highlight for me was probably being selected, very late on, for the last Nations Cup UK Team. I was however only able to play two games, one vs. Portugal, and the other vs. Germany. Being accepted into myLegend is also a major turning point for my future in ET and therefore I suppose is one of the highlights of my 'career'.
- So you played for Team UK in the NationsCup... How did you experience those weeks?
Well it was fantastic. Coming into the ET scene so late, made it very hard for me to 'fit in'. I wasn't able to establish myself into the UK scene, and therefore had no idea about NationsCups or even the UK scene in general. Being part of the team was probably the main reason why a small group recognises my name now, so I guess I have to thank that for being where I am now. It was also very different, because it was the first time I had participated on such a high level, even if it was only for a brief spell. I was used to being stuck on the so called 'medium skilled' level, and it gave me an insight into what it would be like participating at such a higher level.
- Enough for the past, we're getting back to reality... What on earth is going on in myLegend with the guy named raskL? Give me your view.
My view has been displayed already on xfire.be and I really don't think I need to say anything more about raskL and what has gone on. There has been mixed and opinionated views from everyone on this situation, and the clan has to an extent suffered from recent outbursts by members of the community. Our myLegend status was in jeporady because of people messaging management and spamming the channel about this situation which I felt was extremely unfair and unnecessary. Other than that, the team is going fine. We've had some really nice practise results and official results, participating in Warleagues, ET-Cup and the Clanbase OC, and we feel we still have a lot more to give than we are showing at the moment. So the future looks bright. We have full backing of the myLegend management however, and they have given us advice on what to do with recent comments regarding this situation which has helped us tremendously. raskL is still a member of our team, incase you were wondering.
- I know you allready told the community alot about this situation, but this interview is not just to stay on safe grounds. So I'm not going to change subject... How did raskL get into intellic later on myLegend?
I had played with and against raskL many times before I recruited him. He was playing with suXus ET when I first met him. Our ex-member phyTia was also good friends with raskL, and he was the main reason raskL is with us now. We played a few matches with raskL and got to know the guy. He is a brilliant guy and is really down to earth. phyTia hinted to me that raskL was interested in joining the squad, and having known him and played with for a few weeks, I let him in.
- Were you aware of his cheating period in the past before he joined myLegend?
Like I said earlier, I still haven't really established myself in the UK scene and i don't keep up-to-date with the going ons. I was therefore unaware of his previous convictions, if I knew I wouldn't have recruited him, but the circumstances were unique and I only FULLY understood what happened with raskL and cheats 1/2 days ago.
- So you wouldn't have recruited him if you would've known... So why did you chose to keep him after you found out?
Again, I have said it above. There is enough information on Xfire.be to find that yourself, I really don't find it necesary to keep repeating everything. In brief:
* There was zero flame towards us in intellic regarding raskL.
* I post news about us joining myLegend.
* Community sees this as an opportunity to bring up this subject.
* Flame starts
There was no flame before hand, and there is really no reason to start flaming now. It's just nit-picking with a fine tooth comb.
- Don't you think the community started "flaming" after the newspost because they weren't aware of raskL's presence on Intellic's Line up? After all... he joined due to a roster change.
raskL was a member of the team before Kevin, sexyhot and even guest/Dable when they were members. I think the community knew he was a member. He played a lot with us against many clans, and even infront of an ETTV audience during an official. I'm beginning to think raskL would have been a better candidate for this interview...
- No that's not true, it would be fake if I'd just forget about this whole situation and start talk about other things right... But anyway, I do agree with you we spent enough time on raskL. How does it feel for you to be the manager of myLegend ET?
I have been the leader of this team for a long time now. I re-recruited Kevin into my lineup because I know the guy and how close he was with us when previously in this team. Most people forget this team has had the same 3 players, 5 if you count kevin and the recent departure of phyTia, for a very long time. The team is not just a bunch of 7 guys who play together, we are friends, we are a family. We have had people comment on our squad saying how much they envy the bond between the players, and that is exactly what I set out to achieve. I encourage socialising between the players and it shows in game. It is an honour to be leading this team of friends, and a priveledge to be part of the myLegend team.

I am going to give a shoutout to everyone, so it rules out the possiblity of missing anyone out. An extra big hello to the guys from rG, the guys in team UK, and everyone to do with myLegend. Shoutout to my UiC buddy xRio too of course. :)
