*Updated 21st December at 8pm*

Tournament Format:
The tournament will be played using a single elimination bracket with each match being played best out of three. The first two maps will be chosen by each team as there are 6 maps in the pool, the decider map will be pre-assigned.

However you can't choose the same map twice during one phase. For example if you choose mp_crossfire for your first match you won't be able to choose it again for your second and third match. The same situation applies to the quarterfinals, semifinals and grand final, so choose wisely!

Map Pool:
mp_backlot, mp_crash, mp_crossfire, mp_strike, mp_citystreets & mp_vacant

The pre-assigned decider maps are as follows:

Phase 1
Match 1: mp_backlot
Match 2: mp_vacant
Match 3: mp_citystreets

Phase 2
Quarterfinals: mp_strike
Semifinals: mp_crash
Grand Final: mp_crossfire

Match Configs:
Since the release of patch 1.4, ALL games must now be played using patch 1.4

All games must be played using PAM with pam_mode crossfire set.

Arranging Your Matches:
Each match has a set period of time in which to be played. This tournament is running on a STRICT schedule and there is very little room for maneuvering. As soon as your opponent is known and posted on your tournaments page, please contact your opponent immediately and arrange your match. Once you have arranged your match, send a message on Crossfire to QCUPCoD4 stating which teams are playing, the date and the time that the match will be played, which team has chosen which map and who you spoke to from your opposition to organise the match. Please also include any other information you feel is relevant.

Should Crossfire feel teams are actively working against the schedule that Crossfire has provided and working against the pre-Christmas deadline of the tournament they will be removed.

However we do encourage all teams to play their Phase 1 matches as soon as possible, so if your opponent for your next match is known you are free to arrange and play your match right away!

Reporting Match Results:
When you win your match report your score to QCUPCoD4 as well - unless contested this result will be taken as accurate. Please include the date, the scores of each map played along with which team chose which map. If any information is missing, we cannot accept the result.

Match Administration:
Not every match will have an admin on the server. Teams are trusted to complete the matches themselves, however in the result of any conflicts ALL PLAYERS MUST RECORD DEMOS. Do not delete your demos until after the tournament! If there is a match conflict and demos are not available from either one side, or an individual player in question, admins will rule in favour of the opposition (although each case is subjective).

Allowed Players:
Each team can add players to their roster during the tournament, as long as they have not competed for another team in the tournament. Each team leader must send the 8 digit PBGuids for all players on the roster to Penn via a PM. A team will not be able to play in the QCUP unless they have at least 5 PBGuids assigned to at least 5 players. These are used to check against non-allowed players. Once you send the PBGuids you cannot change them, so don't get them wrong.

Cheaters
Furthermore we would like to stress that we do not welcome cheaters to the tournament! We will be utilizing the various banlists as reference and each violation of the rules will be dealt with subjectively by the administrators of this tournament.

All server admins are strongly advised to keep their Master Ban List up to date. The most recent banlist can be downloaded from game-violations.org and manually uploaded to your server's pb folder. This banlist is updated daily. Once you have uploaded the pbbans.dat file, use /rcon pb_sv_banload to load the file. You can then check it by using /rcon pb_sv_banlist to view the banned players. Any players who are on this banlist are not permitted to play in this tournament.

If you need any assistance regarding suspected cheaters, you need to contact Penn via crossfire PM.

Questions, Complaints & Queries:
All communication should proceed through Crossfire PM to QCUPCoD4. This will allow all admins to see your message and answer your query as fast as possible. However teams should also idle in #crossfireqcup to possibly contact other teams and admins. Your admins for this cup are Netherlands Frop and England Penn.
