Along with League of Legends arguably the biggest title eSports has to offer at the moment. The sheer amount of production value, the enthusiasm of casters and fans alike and the professionalism of the players alone make the StarCraft II tournament worth watching. One does not need to be a big RTS fan to get sucked into the atmosphere that arises during each event.

As is well known, the Koreans are always a few steps ahead of the foreigners, but with top notch players like DongRaeGu and Genius contesting in the GSL finals this Saturday and other top tier players like MarineKing (who just won the MLG Winter Arena in a very convincing fashion), Leenock and GuMiho missing, the foreigners might be on to something this time.
Still, it would be a huge surprise to not see either MMA, MC (a fan favorite for obvious reasons) or viOLet in the grand finals. Of the non-Koreans you would have to consider ret one of the people with the best chances to reach a top spot. Along with his fellow Team Liquid members he has experienced huge wins against very strong opponents lately.

:O)
About the CLG.eu thing: my first instinct was that CLG didn't want to pit two of their own teams against each other (although sending the EU team would've made more sense in hindsight, my logic is flawed). Then I read into it and you can barely say "they didn't manage to qualify". They got screwed over by regulations which make no sense. They qualified as a team that was not contractually bound to mTw, yet mTw was granted the qualification spot, despite having no team. While the decision was ultimately lawful, the set of rules applied make, and I repeat myself, no sense. They certainly deserve participation since they qualified, yet politics forbids them from going.
anyone knows?
cuz LoL pwn shit
