When did you start playing RtCW, and how did you get into it?
I started playing Rtcw around 2005, before I was watching my brother zoko play because we had only one computer for the whole family. I don't remember playing the solo mod, my brother did but once we've got enough internet connection we played multiplayer on 1.0. We spent a lot of time on a server called KittyCarnage. With my brother, we joined a team called "No Fear" around 2006 and then the captain left so we took the lead and renamed "NoSurrender". We kept the tag but changed the color from white and yellow to white and blue.
Why do you play RtCW over other competitive FPS games?
Rtcw combines a lot of things I like in fps. Shooting skills of course but more than that it's the objective gameplay with classes. To me, it's balanced between having different classes and all characters being similar at the same time (same hitboxes, same weapons mostly). It's not like Overwatch (even tho I loved that game) where you get tons of characters with specific sizes and skills.
Plus with nS we played 1.0 and by the time I don't remember we gave that much importance to spawn times. We had to press tab to see it. Today I feel like I'm rediscovering the game because I never used to play with it that way. I really enjoy the rhythm Rtcw has.
What’s your most memorable moment so far in your RtCW history, and why?
As a player Quakecon 2020 was definitely a memorable moment. Being able to contact and gather the old nS team together in just a couple of weeks was a great achievement in itself. Even if we didn't perform at all it was nice to full hold against Marauders with nS'Alb3rtOoOo saving docs on Beach... Great sensations after a break of twelve years.
To be honest, I didn't think we'd still be playing after almost two years back in the game.
As a streamer, I'd say I was really thrilled to cast the Quakecon EU final & across regions Semi-final because even if my settings weren't perfect I enjoyed sharing this with the community. Having Crumbs telling me he enjoyed it was a great achievement to me :p
What do you feel is the most important skill in terms of contribution to winning games in RtCW?
Well to me no matter what we can say shooting is important! But then I feel it's communication, precise information and calmness.
