My first ever interview! I recently managed to catch up with 
Aniky, the new ClanBase ET Cup Supervisor, and got him to answer a few questions. Enjoy!
Q: Who are you? Tell me about yourself!
A: Well my name is Matej, im currently living in Slovenia and im 23 years old. I have started ET around 7 years ago, give or take a year, went through NQ, jaymod and ended at ETpro. Playing regularly with some breaks here and there, as sometimes i give a try to other games or simply just let the games behind for other things.
Q: Where did you get the nickname "Aniky"?
A: Well the starting point of this nick come from AnimaPersa, which I used back at the days when I was still actively playing jaymod. After that I changed some letters with my friend to Aniq3 and later on to Aniky.
Q: How long have you been playing ET? How did you get started?
A: Well as mentioned at first post, I started with ET roughly around 7 years ago when I saw that game at my neighbor's place who showed it to me and convinced me to give it a try.
Q: Who do you usually play with? Do you have a team for the upcoming SummerCups?
A: Well normally I like to play with people who I'm familiar with, as I don't have the joy anymore to play wars with players I don't know. I do not have any team for the upcoming SC as I honestly don't have much time at this point to play game actively.
Q: Tell me about your experience with Lost Soldiers in the EuroCup. Do you still play with them? Do you plan to participate in the next EC season with them?
A: Well that team was kind of out of nowhere for me last season of EC, as I was searching for some decent team to play in either EC or OC and somehow had this offer on the table as well to give it a try. As players in that team were all known to me, and I didn't see any problem with it, I decided to give it a try and it was worth it.
Currently most of them are inactive as they had a lot of obligations at past as well, so not really in touch with anyone at this point, as for the next EC season I absolutely have no clue if they gonna play or not, but lets wait and see.
Q: You've been doing some admin work lately, starting alongside Artstar and MerlinatoR in the 6on6 Crossfire Spring Cup and moving on to run a few 3on3 one-day cups on your own. What made you decide to start contributing? Do you enjoy it?
A: Well actually my first big contribution was around 1-2 years ago when I was helping with CF community cup at that time, and after some spare time nowadays I thought I could put my 2 cents for this community and set up some cups, just for the sake of having something else than normal 3on3 ladder offi. I actually enjoy making some stuffs up, to see how they gonna turn out and at other side as well a lot of motivated players who participate at it.
Q: Why did you want to join the ClanBase ET Crew?
A: Well like mentioned above, I like to spare some of my free time to put something back for the community, as lets face it, it's not as active as it used to be like back at the days, so every cup or league that's happening now is just a plus for players still enjoying this game.
Q: As I'm sure you know, being an admin tends to bring a bit of whine and flame from players and even other admins at times. Are you ready?! How do you plan to deal with it?
A: Well I have seen this happening plenty of times and I honestly don't have any problems with it, I know that part of that whine is reflection of either some bad admin work, or just pure nonsense whining which I don't intend to be bothered by. I will deal with stuffs like that quite simple, anyone who has a problem with CB related stuffs, has the right to complain about it, of course if their point is invalid, I don't see a single reason to be bothered by it.
Q: How do you feel about the current state of ET? What can be done to help boost activity?
A: Well as we all know, the activity isn't anymore what it used to be, but there're still some players who enjoy playing this game and spending it with their friends. There's not too much that can be done regarding activity at general, as the players themselves decide if they still want to play this game or not, as for the new players, I think this game is by far most time consuming when it comes to advancing through skill rating and actually reach decent med skill at etpro will take you a while.
Q: If you had the complete power and authority to change any one thing in ET, what would you change and why?
A: Well i guess anti-cheat is probably the most important thing overall for any player out there, as it prevents cheaters from playing and provide with a fair game for everyone. I guess another thing could be a massive promoting scene, or getting a known sponsor for it, but who knows.
Q: What do you consider to be your biggest achievement and/or most memorable moment in your ET history?
A: I guess the time I used to spend playing actively jaymod back at the time, when there was still a lot of players and good friends playing it, as for the achievement, there's honestly nothing special that would be worth mentioning it.
Q: Which team do you predict will win the ClanBase ET EuroCup XXVII?
A: Probably Rockit.
Q: What is your biggest pet peeve in ET?
A: dem hitboxes of d00m
Q: Favorite class? Favorite weapon? Favorite map?
A: I guess medic as primary and rifle nowadays for having some fun around, while I honestly don't have any outstanding map, mostly they're all equally decent.
Q: 3on3 or 6on6? Supply or Gold Rush? Thompson or MP40?
A: Don't hold back neither of formats, both are decent, but i guess i would go for a decent 3on3 game, as for the weapons and maps, i would with Supply and Thompson.
