-It seems there are lans in every country apart from uk :(
-If the main organizer in et is english why not?
-Its easy and cheap to get to (Eurostar).
-UK prolly has the smallest amount of et players, apart from that its ideal.

gogogogo LLI LAN!
Nevertheless good idea, then Jinosta could go to LAN.
However, the big advantage the UK (London in particular) does have is that it's the hub for the two biggest European budget airlines, EasyJet and RyanAir. If you book far enough in advance, you can get to/from almost anywhere in Europe for under 100 euros.
The major disadvantage is venue cost - the cost of hiring a large event venue in or around London is incredibly high. Hotels are also a problem - yes you can travel here relatively cheaply, but staying 3-4 days is going to cost a lot of money.
i honestly don't see too many benefits of having the lan in the uk, would be nice to have good beer instead of shitty european lagers and be able to eat pies & pasties i guess but attendance would probably suffer, particularly those 8th-24th benelux teams who attend merely because it costs them nothing
?
maybe u mean italy?
All though to you and me it sounds ideal how many people from countries, where its cheaper to live in general, would pay to come play a game and on top of that pay premium rates for hotels/food/drink/ect?
wtf is that Shit, no but srly What kinda of shit is that :D?
24/7 rain
-It seems there are lans in every country apart from russia :(
-If the main organizer in et is english why not make it in Russia? :P
-Its easy and cheap to get to (Horse carriage).
-Russia prolly has no et players, apart from that its ideal.
Main factor that there isn't is due to UK being quite pricey to host the event itself.
