Weird Internet Problem

Heey guys i need some help :/

yesterday internet started to go 999 like every 3-5 minutes now today its even worse i go for like 10 secs 999 every 1-5 mins sometimes twice a mintue and sometimes it stays at 999 for more than 30 seconds :S my vent ping goes up to like 3000 every 1 min :x

I dont know how or why this have happened, tried to google but with no succes...

All i know is that i formated the pc 3 days ago but i've done that before without this happening with the very same drivers etc... i also tried to type in some other dns server, but with no succes there either..

i hope some one can help me, cant even surf internet normaly :<

just wait till tomorrow or few more days, may just be inet problems. If it persists, then we should look into line status(SNR, attenuation, line power...) and active processes/bandwith usage in your computer.

e* since u did format just 3 days ago, you could try formatting again just to remove any software(drivers/virus) problem.

Hmm, i had something similiar but i thought it was problem with my system - Ubuntu 10.10. Every 3-5 min i couldn't load any page etc. for ~ 1-1,5 min. Than everything was ok again for 3-5 min. Some said the problem was with IPv6, but the problem has gone when i changed default DNS servers in my router to google's: Using Google Public DNS. Ofcourse you can try other like Open DNS etc. Anyway im not sure if your problem has anything to do with DNS server.

on a srs sidenote, I've had the same problem and it came from my provider.
