but its kinda weird in spain that locals answer to u in english, its actually REALLY weird unless its locals looking for tourists who studied english a lot (and they are not even good at it)

and spanish ppl is idd weird they are the first to criticize their own country but they are also insanely proud, its often said here that we have the best place for living which is not true since life quality is way better in your place, i guess they just say it because of the weather lol.

But if you go to a small town in Catalonia you'll have a very hard time communicating with others, as they do not (or simply refuse to) speak english.

well i dont know any guy who speaks english besides me in entire catalonia(shev does too but i dno him irl so doenst count!), in barcelona (where u were) specially during summers is full of english speaking ppl actually more ppl speaks english than spanish/catalan in the torusist filled places like ramblas etc.. and if u look like toruists like (krosan and dual) its even easier to just go around barcelona in english.

i dont know about madrid i guess its kinda the same, but barcelona has beach so i guess it has more young tourists

I didn't enjoy hanging out with turkish / french / spanish people on vacation, not that they were rude but hospitality wasn't one of their strong point, with the turks it was just the fact that they always looked as if they were about to gangplank me into certain death

There are a lot of polish people living in my city, they all seem extraordinary friendly with the exception being this one guy who always gets arrested for getting into barfights, but he's a nice guy before he starts drinking / smashing skulls.

I also enjoyed the company of the english people on my trip to London, and the Germans also seem to be friendly at all times.
