I'm going out on a limb here because I don't know what's possible with the current code, but what if we just made a toggle so you can ignore everything (threads/journals/comments/etc.) from tagged persons? It's a bit like the suggestion from someone else to extend the Ignore functionality.
Yeah, but banning them just makes them come back with a new account. You would never have to hear from them again whatsoever when we're able to extend the Ignore functionality. They can go on spouting all kinds of bullshit that nobody will read anymore, you're no longer annoyed by them - win/win situation.
That's pretty hard to set up and besides, we still want to keep an open door for the actual new users. Fully ignoring the trolls, cheaters and other villainy will work a lot better, because they won't have the faintest clue that 99% of the site can't read what they post.

Making such an ignore function can be deadly, resulting in a lot of people missing journals and so. People moslt ignore others because of their annoying comments and replys, when it's a journal you can simply ignore it yourself
place an evil cookie on the hackers computer, and im not talking about standard cookies (you might want to read on that stuff a bit, there are evil things that can be done) (not harmful for the persons computer etc...)
then check for the cookie on registration. will sort 80% i guess until your method has been discovered
I see your point, but personally I'd like to get to a site where there's no need for fake accounts at all. A place where trolls, cheaters and regular users live in harmony without annoying the fuck out of each other.
Maybe it's better just to leave it as it's now, but don't let them (cheaters) communicate with people, type in journals/threads etc? So the possiblity of having multi accounts will disappear or at least it will decrease. Basicly a mute function - they can browse but nothing more.

You should also be more strict with them, and revoke them the right to post comments a lot faster than with other people.

If they think they are cool or people actually care more about them because of that triangle, they are really retarded. I found myself skipping comments and journals by cheaters, so I like it.
What if we gave their content in the left and right column a smaller font instead of the exclamation mark?
