.be vs .nu

Its realy annoying to have 2 domainnames for xfire. When using links inside xfire, 1 time out of 2 you are 'logged out' because of this xfire.be vs crossfire.nu nonsense.

Maybe its time we choose either one of them ....
and bring back hits :'''''(

www.fragland.net

Well, it looks like Murphy interfered, and Fragland is down at the moment.
Please stand by while we're fragging Murphy's ass, Fragland.net will be back in a couple of hours.

Meanwhile have a look at Fragland.NET or Fragland.BE.

.be just because FDJ wants .nu
good reason i like that one! :D

be - never really understood what was wrong with xfire.be and why they had to take crossfire.nu
Sponsorship-related.

crossfire > xfire
.nu - so much cooler
I use .be to browse because I have been using it for years and its shorter, but Crossfire as a name is better for what we're after in financially helping out the community. If you talk to any marketing manager within gaming it goes something like this:

Me: I'm from xfire.be and I wanna do such and such
Them: Xfire? The chat program
Me: No, xfire the wolfenstein site
Them: O RLY?
Me: Ya RLY
Conversation repeats for 5 minutes, before they get an important call on their blackberry from their mothers

Crossfire is coined by many companies and thus none of them have direct ownership of it, and so ppl dont know exactly what it is at all times. Xfire is just one brand, one product.

As for the actual domain, I dont love .nu but unfortunately its all that is available.
what does the .nu stand for?

imo be, always typed it like xfire.be.
