2 days ago i wrote to logitech that my mx518 is le broke and i was le sad,
today brand new mx518 arrived for free :)

me happy :) and logitech not gay :)

i know that, but it doesnt really matter for one using it. I think there is even a tutorial on here how to fix the broken one when the cable is broke. I did it myself once too and its working great ever since.

So fix yours and sell the new one :P

u just describe the problem, and then you have to take a picture of ur mouse to prove that u have it together with hand written code. and that was it

So I suppose you emailed them and they just asked you to take a picture of your logitech device, together with a code they supplied. No serial numbers or whatsever °°_ ?

Can't really see why a company that big should do stuff like that. I agree it's pretty nice in a customer's POV, but sending out new devices just like that.. seems like some fucked up management to me :l

how is not benefiting them, a company like logitech that makes millions of profit giving out warranty like this just gives em a better reputation, and look what the result is i just spread the word for them about how good their customer support is.

They've sold their product, why would they give a damn about a few random gamers who happen to have a broken device.

Aftersales & support etc is obviously important, but there are enough big companies who simply tell you to go fuck yourself in that situation and people just accept that.

i agree, i always hear of ppl doing what lazio just did but for me it never occurs to do it by myself. I wouldnt expect them to do it and i think it just takes too much trouble. (i dont have any idea if it will :D). Easier to just order a new one. Maybe next time!

indeed there are enough companies that will tell you to fuck off, probably like 90% of em, thats why this would be positive for them ? I don't think logitech will make any significant loss on this, or at least break even due to the positive approach

remember writing to razer some time ago about mouse getting broke after some months...after they transferd me to 4-5 departments and many emails, i threw it to the garbage and bought a new one
