Only in terms of community. HoN's community is worse than ET's, which is highly disappointing
The game play in HoN surpasses LoL with flying colors.

To be fair they are both different games, i however prefer lol. Before a load of hon faggots whine about not having denies in lol it's designed that way so the game is faster moving and more intense %^.%

I haven't really been a passionate LoL player but when I decided to start an AoS game I just looked at my friend playing HoN... the decision was fairly quickly made. Zoning > Denying.
