Deadwood
Think The Sopranos, but set in the 1920s. On Sky Atlantic atm.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0979432/
Chronicles the life and times of Nucky Thompson, the undisputed ruler of Atlantic City, who was equal parts politician and gangster.
Blue Bloods
Intense drama on Sky Atlantic atm.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1595859/
Revolves around a family of New York cops.
The Pacific
From the makers of Band Of Brothers, but set in the Pacific. (And not quite as good)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0374463/
A 10-part mini-series from the creators of "Band of Brothers" telling the intertwined stories of three Marines during America's battle with the Japanese in the Pacific during World War II.
Entourage
Probably the most watchable show on TV. Equal parts funny and dramatic. It's the first show I watch each week once I've downloaded my 10+ series.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0387199/
Film star Vince Chase navigates the vapid terrain of Los Angeles with a close circle of friends and his trusty agent.
How's that for a lovely format.
format's lovely
boardwalk empire is getting a lot of talk atm, so it's being considered!
is entourage comparable to any other show i've mentioned?
Boardwalk is good, very good.
Entourage is similar to Weeds/Californication in that it's a light-hearted weekly episodic drama, but it's a lot better than both. The whole series has a feel good factor that no other does.
Mad Dogs was a four-part drama that finished this week. Edit: Sky advertises it as a 'psychological' drama, though I didn't see much psychological about it other than it was weird. But you're a fag so you might find something in there you'll appreciate.
