Looks good.

Get a K-model CPU btw, so you still have the opportunity to OC.

You don't need a 2600(K), 2500K will be more than sufficient.

PSU looks a bit like overkill btw.

Doesn't really matter. Hardware ages pretty fast and the difference between the 2 CPU's is not that big, unless you need hyperthreading.

You say that now, but within a couple of months you will.. who wouldn't want a 2.2GHZ to run @ 3.6GHZ? If you do plan to OC, try and get some RAM with looser timings. 4-4-4-12 etc...

Not many regular drives can reach that. -> sata III pointless for that

On the other hand u can save money for ssd that needs sata III :)

Got both my SSD and WD 1 TB on SATA3, can't say that I'm regretting this decision (like I said earlier, the SATA3 HDD was around 10 euros more expensive than its SATA2 counterpart).

So far it's performing excellently. I'll look around for a decent benchmarking utility to satisfy your curiosity.

interface is not the limiting factor but the hardware of the hdd itself, crittie is right. Doesn't help shit to have a sata 3 hdd, hdd's wont get near the speed of sata 3

dont pick the LE version of the Asus Mainboard
if you want an Asus (good and cheap p67) choose the ASUS P8P67 Rev 3.0
psu is too much overpowered tbh (its not wrong but you could save a lot of money)
a 450w psu (like seasonic, corsair, enermax, cougar, antec) is enough aslong you use only 1 gpu even with oc ;))
only a dvd rom? no burner? ;D

ye it works more stable and better components..the Asus LE has just and ide port and i doubt you will need ide ;)

trust me its 100% enough + oc ..good and up2date psu has around 400w combined power @ 12v and you only need max 320w for this system at fullload (furmark,prime etc)

FYI on the hard drive, Mine is failing after 2 years of constant downloading, and It's really hard to get a replacement even tho the warranty covers for 36 months, I'd never buy another Samsung HD again, Western Digital all the way.

no SSD = shit, with that budget.
I would rather have i3 2100, than no SSD. It works so much better.

Also why would you buy ripjaws, with such timings. Than you can better buy corsair vengeance that is made for sandy bridge. or some random valueram, that also has those timings. Another option is 1600MHz ram, sandy bridge likes that. Just look at voltage, sandy bridge prefers to have memory with 1,5v

Further PSU is overkill, 500W is more than enough, 600W for SLi

And i would not take the LE version of the motherboard since the power circuit for CPU is much better on the normal version.

ssd will make your computer feel much faster, everything you press on everything you load will go faster, that feel of speed is so much nicer than faster CPU.

- spinpointit on perseestä, osta WD ja kylkee yks esim intelin SSD.
- mitä tahansa polttavii dvd asemia saa 20 eurolla, miks vitussa tarvii nipistää 15 euroa et ostaa tommosen 60 luvun romuaseman.
- 6 gigaa muistia riittää helposti vielä pitkään.
